Be Thin and Healthy this Summer

Last December and January you were determined to drop some weight so that you would look better and live a healthier and happier life.  It’s now June.  How are you doing?  I know.  It seems hard, but it’s really easy if you approach it correctly.  I know because I did it.  I am down 50 pounds from my all-time high and I’ve kept it off for 3.5 years.

Let’s look at some of the reasons to reduce, causes of weight gain and the solution.

Reasons to Reduce:

  • 145 Million people in the U.S. are Overweight, Obese or Morbidly Obese
    • 80% of type II diabetes is related to obesity.
    • 70% of cardiovascular disease is related to obesity.
    • 42% breast and colon cancers are related to obesity.
  • Obesity and Type 2 diabetes go hand-in-hand so frequently scientists are calling the condition “diabesity”.
  • “Obesity has a very strong positive association with mortality.”  Obese people have twice the risk of mortality when compared to people of normal weight.  There is also “a clear increase in mortality among those who were overweight.”

Cause of Weight Gain:

99% of the time, obesity is the result of overeating.

Imagine, your body is a car.  When you eat, drink and snack, it’s like putting gas in the tank.  When you go through all of your daily activities, working, playing, thinking, all that you do while awake, you burn the gas out of the tank.  When you go to sleep at night, you don’t burn much gas, so what happens to the gas in the tank?  Your heart normally pumps your energy around the circulatory system to meet your needs for energy.  When your body reduces its demand for energy, your body will store the excess energy, in the form of FAT in your fat cells.  You don’t get more fat cells.  The existing cells just get packed fuller.

Let’s say that you store one ounce of fat a night.  That’s not much.  You can’t even weigh it on your scales.  In a month, the one ounce is almost 2 pounds.  In a year, the one ounce is 24 pounds.

The Solution to being Overweight or Obese:

What if you consumed less each day?  Instead of storing one ounce of Fat a day you burned one ounce of fat that was previously stored.  Now you are reducing 2 pounds a month or 24 pounds a year.

What if you could eat and drink anything you want?  No special diets, no bowls of green leaves, it’s all about the total calories eaten vs. the total calories burned by your activities.  The catch is you can only eat and drink HALF your normal amount.  For all the details, call for a Free Weight Loss Consultation at Déjà Vu Med Spa, 623-242-9910.  They will also provide instructions, easy tips, motivation, encouragement and hold you accountable, also B-12 shots and personalized Rx support.
